Тема: Подготовка к ВПР

Займёмся подготовкой к ВПР, которая вам предстоит в следующем году. Среди заданий, каждый год встречающихся в ВПР – смысловое чтение. В этом задании требуется соотнести короткие тексты и их заголовки. Прочтите рекомендации по выполнению:

До чтения текстов

1. Постарайтесь определить, объединены ли заголовки одной идеей.

2. Определите основной смысл каждого заголовка.

3. Подумайте, о чем может быть текст к каждому из заголовков. Какие слова могут встретиться в этом тексте?

Во время чтения текстов

1. Работайте с каждым текстом последовательно. Просмотрите первое и последнее предложения текста. Как правило, этого бывает достаточно для определения основного содержания текста. Если этого оказалось недостаточно, бегло просмотрите весь текст и найдите ту информацию, которая поможет принять решение. Не забывайте делать в тексте пометки.

2. Прежде чем проставить ответы в бланк, проверьте себя: докажите обоснованность принятого решения, цитируя соответствующие фрагменты текста.

Пять текстов:

A.Sir Christopher Wren started working on St Paul’s Cathedral in 1668. His work on its designs took several years and the construction itself lasted for 40 years. It is now impossible to imagine London without St Paul’s. The Cathedral has become a domineering element in the city’s skyline as well as a centre for tourism and religion, and most recently a central point for social justice movement.

B. It has been discovered that a fox has been living at the top of the UK’s tallest skyscraper, Shard. The animal was named Romeo by staff. They think that it entered the 288 m building through the central stairwell. To survive, the fox ate food left by builders who worked inside. The fox was caught and taken to the animal centre where it was fed and given a check-up.

C.Every November a large Christmas tree is placed in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. The current Mayor of New York City and special guests take part in the ceremony of the tree lighting which is broadcast live on national television on a Wednesday after Thanksgiving. About 125 million people visit the attraction every year. The tree remains on display until the beginning of January.

D. There are more than 800 members of staff in Buckingham palace, the London residence of the Queen. Besides normal workers like gardeners and cooks, the palace has several unusual positions. For example, there is a flag sergeant who takes care of all the flags. The palace also employs a clockmaker and a fendersmith, who cleans and repairs the metal fenders behind the fireplaces.

E. St Basil’s Cathedral was ordered by Ivan the Terrible to commemorate the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan. It was completed in 1560. Very little is known about its builders, Barma and Postnik Yakovlev. People believe that Ivan the Terrible had them blinded so that they could not create anything similar. Historians, however, say that this is not true.
