«WORKSHOP 2016» - REFERENCE FOR PARTICIPANTS

Object of Workshop – is Municipal Park, located in the foothills of Bostandyk district of Almaty. Its area is 26 hectares.

Surroundings: on the west side – Zharokov street (city transport highway with high-rise buildings); on south – Khodzhanov street (residential street); in the north – Botanical Garden; eastern part of the green area – adjacent to sites of individual low-rise building and a kindergarten.

Architectural-and-planning solutions presented by regular planning. The object doesn’t have a particular theme. At the present stage, this area has primarily ecological value, while its aesthetic potential is at a very low level. About 50% of the territory – are covered spaces under the tree canopy. In generally – area has an untidy view.
