В английском язые существует около 350 глаголов, которые не подчиняются правилам образования прошедшего времени и причастия. Десять наиболее употребительных глаголов являются неправильными. Ниже приведена таблица наиболее часто встречающихся неправильных глаголов.
Выучить все неправильные глаголы довольно сложно, тем более, что некоторые из них могут являться одновременно и правильными и неправильными. Если во время разговора вы не можете вспомнить формы какого-то неправильного глагола, а говорить надо, то можно прибегнуть к хитрости. Фраза "I did speak English" с точки зрения школьной английской грамматики является весьма сомнительной, но в разговорной речи вполне прокатит. Злоупотреблять этим не стоит, но иногда такой приём может выручить.
