My neighbour Gary used to be a delivery driver, working for one of our local companies. As he had this job for nearly ten years, he thought it would be a good idea to do something different. After some training, he became a local bus driver and he is really enjoying it because he finds it nice to see and meet different people. Last week, while he was driving down one of our main roads, he saw two thieves rushing out of a jeweller’s shop and running towards a waiting car. One of the thieves was carrying a bag full jewellery. Gary took action immediately and drove the bus straight towards where the thieves were. They were so shocked, one of them dropped the bag. As the thieves were trying to get away in their car, Gary drove his bus closely behind them, causing the driver to hit a lamp post, seriously damaging the car. While the bashed car was moving away, he stopped his bus and phoned the police. The thieves' car was so badly smashed; it would be impossible for it to get far. Within minutes, the police spotted the car and both men were arrested. Gary was recognised for his bravery and the owner of the shop rewarded him a beautiful new watch.
