Autumn on the farm

Hello! My name's Ben. I live in the town centre with my parents and my brother, Peter. Last Saturday, Dad took us all to our grandparents' farm in his car. There's always something exciting to go and see at their farm in the autumn.

On Sunday, my brother asked, 'Can we visit the pumpkin patch, Grandpa?' 'Yes!' Grandpa said. We went to the pumpkin patch. There were a lot of pumpkins. We chose the biggest pumpkin, we loaded it into our wheelbarrow and brought it home.

Our Grandma made us a pumpkin pie. We had it with tea. It was delicious. After that we rode our bikes through piles of dry leaves. The leaves went flying through the air as we drove through them. Then Grandpa asked us to help him gather the leaves.

We raked the leaves up and put them in big pile. My brother and I jumped in the leaves. We made a big mess. But our grandparents didn't mind. We raked them up again. In the evening the air got a littler cooler and the autumn wind started to blow. We went inside. Our Grandma made us homemade pumpkin spice latte. We spent the evening playing board games. It was fun.
