Mary lives in Russia. In her country the school year starts on the first of September and finishes at the end of May. It usually has four terms. At the end of the year students take final tests and get the grades.

Mary goes to school № 154. This year she is in the 6th form. She has 5 or 6 lessons a day. The lessons start at half past 8. Mary's favourite lesson is Art. She likes drawing and their art teacher is very kind. She always gives her students good marks. Mary has many other subjects in her timetable too.

Mary usually has lunch at half past 10 at school. She has a sandwich and a cup of tea or milk and then goes back to her lessons. She also has dinner at school, too. Mary doesn't go home after dinner. She stays at school to have her dancing course or just do her homework together with her friends. She usually comes home at 2 or 3 pm.

Mary gets on well with all her classmates. She's very close with Dan, Kate and Peter. They live not far from each other and usually go to school together. Mary's friends are very helpful. Every time Mary has difficulties with any subject, one of them helps her to understand it. Mary also likes spending her free time with her friends. They usually go to the parks or museums or just watch films about Harry Potter.

School takes a lot of time so Mary doesn't always have a chance to hang out with her friends. However, June, July and August are free from study and Mary likes spending them with her mates. That is the reason why she likes summer.
