DIET THERAPY FOR DIABETES

Indications for diet

This diet is used in the treatment of diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus of mild to moderate severity, joint diseases, a large group of allergic diseases (bronchial asthma, etc.).

General characteristics

A diet with energy moderately reduced due to easily digestible carbohydrates and animal fats, with the exception of sugar and sweets, and the use of xylitol and sorbitol. With the physiological norm of vitamins and minerals. Sugar, jam, confectionery, and other products containing a lot of sugar are excluded.

Sugar is replaced with sugar substitutes: xylitol, sorbitol, aspartame.

The culinary processing is diverse: boiling, stewing, baking and roasting without breading.

Eating 5-6 times a day.

Chemical composition and energy value

Proteins 100 g, fats 70-80 g (of which 25 g vegetable), carbohydrates 300 g mainly due to complex, simple carbohydrates are excluded or sharply limited; calorie content 2300 kcal. Free fluid 1.5 liters.

Recommended Products and Dishes

• Bread and bread from the product - mainly from whole grains or with the addition of bran; Diabetic varieties of bread: protein-bran, protein-wheat.

• Soups - mainly vegetarian or on bone broth from prefabricated vegetables, borsch, pickles, okroshka, bean (once or twice a week on meat or fish broth).

• Dishes from meat and poultry - low-fat varieties of meat and poultry - beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, boiled, seasoned, baked rabbit (fried once a week). Goose, duck, animal internal organs, brains are not recommended.

• Sausages - low in fat.

• Dishes from fish - a variety of sea and river fish - cod, saffron cod, ice, pike perch, pike mainly in boiled, aspic, baked form.

• Vegetables, greens - cauliflower and white cabbage, leafy lettuce, eggplant, zucchini, watermelon, pumpkin, cucumbers, tomatoes, green peas, beans, beans, lentils, bell peppers, onions, beets, carrots, parsley, dill, celery, extragon cilantro. Limited to potatoes.

• Dishes from cereals, pasta - oat, buckwheat, "hercules", millet, diet pasta with bran, in the form of a variety of cereals, casseroles, taking into account the total amount of carbohydrates in the diet.

• Dishes from eggs - one egg per day, soft-boiled or as an omelet, scrambled eggs, to be added to dishes.

• Dairy products - mostly low-fat or low-fat - fresh cottage cheese or in the form of cheesecakes, puddings, cottage cheese (without added sugar), kefir, yogurt, milk, cheese, cream, low-fat butter.

• Confectionery products - only dietary products with sweeteners (biscuits, cookies, xylitol wafers, marmalade, sweets with sweeteners).

• Fats - butter (peasant), sandwich margarine, sunflower, corn, olive oil in its natural form.

• Drinks - tea, tea with milk, coffee drink, tomato juice, fruit and berry juices without sugar, rosehip broth, soft drinks without sugar, mineral water.

• Appetizers - salads, vinaigrettes, jellied low-fat fish and meat, soaked herring, cheese, low-fat sausage, vegetable caviar.
