•give a brief description (action, location) •say what the pictures have in common •say in what way the pictures are different •say which kind of life you’d prefer for wild animals •explain why
Introduction I am going to compare and contrast two photos which are presented here. Life of animals is issue these two pictures emphasize. 1. Brief description: Let me start with the first photo which describes a bear in the zoo. It is sitting on a rock without paying attention to people gazing at it. In the second picture we can see a wild bear. It is walking in the field and looking somewhere. 2. What the pictures have in common: As far as I understand, these two photos have a bit in common. Both of them are connected with the topic life of animals. The main similarity between these two pictures is that both of them show real bears and they are of the same type - brown. In addition, another similarity can be seen here. The bears are healthy, clean, not aggressive and free. There are no chains or leashes on the pictures. 3. What way the pictures are different: However, these two photos have some differences. Firstly, the distinction between them is the presence of people in the left picture and the absence of humans in the right one. Secondly, the pictures are taken in different seasons: in the photo on the left we can see autumn according to the people’s clothes, while in the photo on the right it is summer as we can observe a lot of blooming flowers. But the main striking difference is the place of living of the bears. In the first picture, the animal is in the zoo, in captivity. The bear in the right picture is in its natural habitat. 4. Which kind of life you’d prefer for wild animals: As for me, I would like wild animals to live in the natural conditions.
5. Why: No doubt, zoos can offer comfortable life, enough food and medical care for animals. But, nevertheless, the beasts are limited in territory and activity here. I consider zoos to be entertainment for people. In conclusion I would like to point out that wild animals are born in the forests and they should be free. That’s all I wanted to say.
